Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a life of a molten metal ladle by suppressing exfoliation damage to a refractory of a ladle bottom of the molten metal ladle.SOLUTION: The molten metal ladle is provided in which molten metal is charged into its inside, a ladle bottom is curved downward, and bare metal remains on a part of the ladle bottom after tapping the molten metal. A part in contact with the bare metal, of the ladle bottom is composed of a first refractory including AlO, SiO, C and SiC as base materials. In the first refractory, a blending amount of AlOto the total weight of the frist refractory is 45-55 wt.%, a blending amount of SiOis 27-37 wt.%, a blending amount of C is 5-15 wt.%, and a blending amount of SiC is 1-8 wt.%, and further metal Al of 1-4 wt.% is added to the first refractory.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
