Abstract:

To provide an on-vehicle monitoring device and a monitoring method capable of accurately detecting dangerous driving regardless of a surrounding environment.SOLUTION: An ECU 10 comprises: a target information detection unit 31 that detects positions, velocities, and directions of other vehicles 201 to 203 as moving objects existing around the own vehicle 100; a target detection unit 32 that detects the other vehicles 201 to 203 as monitoring targets when the positions of the other vehicles 201 to 203 enter a predetermined setting area, and velocity vector quantities of the other vehicles 201 to 203 in a preset setting direction exceed a predetermined monitoring threshold; and a danger determination unit 33 that determines whether or not a vehicle is driving dangerously with respect to the other vehicles 201 to 203 detected as monitoring targets by the target detection unit 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
