Abstract:
To improve estimation precision of a self-position even if there is little change in a surrounding environment.SOLUTION: For instance, a moving object comprises: a sensor 124 that measures a distance based on reflection light reflected by emitting a laser beam; an estimation unit 128d that estimates a self-position of the moving object and a surrounding map using the sensor 124; a support unit 125 that supports the sensor 124 in a manner that an emission direction of the laser beam can be changed; and a support control unit 128g that controls the support unit 125 so as to actively tilt the emission direction of the laser beam along a direction that suppresses a decrease in estimation precision of the estimation unit 128d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
