Title:
MULTIBEAM SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3668053
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce the deviation of beam pitch associated with the switching and the adjustment of the beam pitch and to realize an excellent beam diameter at a multibeam scanning time.
SOLUTION: This multibeam scanner is provided with plural light sources 1a and 1b, coupling lenses 2a and 2b coupling beams diverging from the plural light sources, a deflector deflecting the beams emitted from the coupling lenses, plural apertures 3a and 3b arranged between the coupling lenses and the deflector so as to regulate the beams and a scanning optical system guiding the beam from the deflector to the surface to be scanned. Then, plural scanning lines are simultaneously scanned by beam spots formed at the surface to be scanned by the respective beams. Besides, this scanner is provided with rotation means 11e and 11f rotating the plural light sources and the plural coupling lenses with an axis being almost vertical to at least a sub-scanning direction as a center. The rotating angles of the plural light sources and the plural coupling lenses rotated by the rotation means are almost identical and the plural apertures are not rotated with respect to a rotary shaft.
