Abstract:
To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor that can sufficiently secure a connection between an internal electrode layer and an external electrode in the multilayer ceramic capacitor without barrel polishing the end face of a laminate.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic capacitor according to the present invention includes a laminate, and first and second external electrodes on both ends of the laminate. A first internal electrode layer and a second internal electrode layer are arranged in the laminate. A first region in which the first internal electrode layer is not formed from a region on the first end face side of the first internal electrode layer toward the first end face, and a second region in which the second internal electrode layer is not formed from a region on the first end face side of the second internal electrode layer toward the first end face are provided. The first external electrode includes a first extension portion in the first region, and a first interdiffusion portion between the first extension portion and the first internal electrode layer, and the second external electrode includes a second extension portion in the second region, and a second interdiffusion portion between the second extension portion and the second internal electrode layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
