To provide such a multiplier element as a photocurrent multiplier element and a light-to-light conversion element wherein continuity is hardly generated between its upper and lower electrodes and its large area is made possible.
In the multiplier element, a distributed resin organic semiconductor layer 3 is formed on a lower electrode 2 of a transparent ITO electrode formed on a glass substrate 1, and on the distributed resin organic semiconductor layer 3, an upper electrode 4 of a gold deposited film is formed. The organic semiconductor layer 3 is the dried layer obtained by applying thereto a dispersed liquid by a spin-coat method wherein a perylene pigment and a polycarbonate are mixed with each other in a THF solvent. While applying a voltage to the organic semiconductor layer 3 by the electrodes 2, 4, light is projected on the layer 3 to make therein a multiplied induction current caused by the light irradiation.
