This system is provided with a distribution server 1 which stores music data and lyric data (natural voice data or text data in the case of a karaoke distribution system) of pieces of music and distributes the data at a request and a receiving terminal 2 which requests the distribution server 1 to distribute data on receiving an indication from a user and receives the distributed data. In this music distribution system, for example, part of the lyric data is composed of changeable data blocks and changed according to the existing position of the receiving terminal. For example, music 'a woman in Nagoya' is sent to a receiving terminal in Nagoya and to a receiving terminal in Hakata, the music is distributed having words 'Nagoya' in the title and the lyric changed into 'Hakata'. They are changed according to the existing position of the receiving terminal 2 and information on properties or preference such as the home city of the user.
