To provide a new N, N'-bistricyclic amine-substituted-polyphenylenediamine derivative excellent as a component of an organic EL element, particularly as a hole transporting material.
The new N, N'-bistricyclic amine-substituted-polyphenylenediamine derivative is represented by formula (1), which is a polyphenylenediamine derivative comprising two tricyclic amine groups of a specific structure.
