Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a microorganism producing heat-resistant alkali xylanase and its use.

CONSTITUTION: A strain in Bacillus such as Bacillus sp-BX-1, Bacillus sp-BX-2, Bacillus sp-BX-3 or Bacillus sp-BX-4 is cultured and heat-resistant alkali xylanase is collected from the culture mixture. Further, the heat-resistant alkali xylanase can be used to bleach wood pulp.
