PURPOSE: To provide a hydraulic elevator device capable of supporting a car in a hoistway and easily lowering only the plunger of a hydraulic jack.
CONSTITUTION: When a car 2 is supported in a hoistway and the plunger 1a of a hydraulic jack 1 alone is lowered, the third opening/closing valve 24 is opened by an opening means 24f, and the second opening/closing valve 19 is opened like for the low-speed descent operation of the car 2. An oil path capable of discharging the pressure oil from the hydraulic jack 1 to an oil tank 8 with the small pressure by the weight of the plunger la alone is formed. Such a trouble can be resolved that the discharge of the pressure oil in the hydraulic jack 1 becomes difficult due to the flow resistance of a hydraulic pump 3 and the descent of the plunger 1a alone is hindered.
