Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce noise in an FM monophonic reception in an FM receiver.
CONSTITUTION: Stereo sum and difference signals EM, ES are divided into different frequency band components by BPF groups 9 and 10, each band component is compared with reference voltage by comparator circuits 13 and 14, a switching circuit 16 is controlled based on the comparison result, each output signal is added by an adder 17 and each signal is inputted in a matrix circuit 7. When multipass noise is detected by an IF level detector 8, a switching circuit 18 is turned off, the ES is cut and the band components where noise of the EM is included is cut by the switching circuit 16.
