Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smooth route guidance without giving a feeling of uneasiness to a user, even in a malreception area of GPS signals.
SOLUTION: A navigation system 1 is provided with a position measuring apparatus 12 which receives a GPS signal and detects its own position, a DVD 3 which stores map information and information on malreception areas of electric wave signals relating them to each other, and a display 8 for providing specified information to the user. When its own car position detected by the measuring apparatus 12 enters a malreception area of the GPS signals or its vicinity, the display 8 displays information stating the effect that reception of the GPS signals will be bad.
