Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a neural network device itself to judge the reliability of an output from each neural circuit network and to make it possible to easily massproduct devices.
CONSTITUTION: The mutual coincidence of output patterns outputted from respective neural networks 1 to 4 when inputs having the same pattern are applied to the networks is detected and the reliability of outputs from respective networks 1 to 4 is judged based upon the coincidence. The networks 1 to 4 are respectively provided with programmable circuits 7 to 10. Even when the networks 1 to 4 have the same synapse transmission ratio before learning, synapse transmission ratios before learning are different in respective networks 1 to 4 including also the circuits 7 to 10. Thereby it is unnecessary to form plural neural networks having respectively different synapse transmission ratios before learning by means of random numbers or the like and to check whether the synapse transmission ratios of the networks 1 to 4 are the same or not before learning.
