Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain this screen which has a smooth face and large sheet thickness by electroforming the metal mask screen on the surface of a roll-shaped mandral while rotating this roll-shaped mandrel and polishing its surface with a grinding stone while rotating the mandrel and thereafter peeling the screen. CONSTITUTION:A roll-shaped mandrel 1 laminated with a resist 2 is held in a prebake furnace at 80 deg.C for 10 minutes to raise the adhesive force of the resist 2. Then the pattern film 5 of a required metal mask screen 11 is closely stuck on the resist 2 while exerting tension and baked by an ultraviolet-ray lamp 6. A resist film 7 having the required pattern it formed by performing respective treatment of development and drying. Then the mandrel 1 and an anode 9 are opposed in an electrolyte of a nickel sulfomate bath 8. Electroforming is performed while rotating the mandrel 1. As a result, an electrodeposited layer 10 is formed on the surface which is not coated with the film 7 on the mandrel 1. This layer 10 becomes the metal mask screen 11. Then this screen 11 is intactly stuck to the mandrel 1 and polished while rotating a grinding stone 13. The surface is regulated to uniform prescribed thickness.
