PURPOSE: To easily execute maintenance and inspection by driving a device body by using data stored in a data storing means and estimating the status of the device body from an output result obtained by the driving.

CONSTITUTION: This neural network equipment is provided with the neural network device body 7, a maintenance/inspection data part 9 storing data for checking the status of the device body 7, an operation check control part 11 for setting up data obtained from the data part 9 in an input part of the device body 7, and a status estimating/outputting part 13 for estimating the status of the device body 7 from the output of the device body 7 with respect to the data. Since the device body 7 is operated by using the maintenance/inspection data and the average error of the outputs is allowed to correspond to the status of the device body 7, whether the device body 7 can be still sufficiently used or not can simply be checked on the user side even if a failure is generated.
