Title:
NEURON MODEL ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3423041
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a neuron model element which generates an electric vibration signal.
CONSTITUTION: A lipid-impregnated membrane 13 is installed in an logic aqueous solution 12, an ion channel whose selectivity is opposite to that of the lipid- impregnated membrane 13 is buried and installed in the lipid-impregnated membrane 13, an electrode 16 which transmits the membrane potential of the lipid-impregnated membrane 13 as an electric signal is attached, and a neuron model element is constituted. The electrode 15 or an ion pump is driven, and the membrane potential is generated in the lipid-impregnated membrane 13. Then, when its magnitude reaches the action potential of the ion channel, the ion channel is opened, and the ion potential is cancelled by its portion. When the membrane potential is cancelled, the ion channel is closed, and the membrane potential rises again. When it reaches the action potential of the ion channel, the ion channel is opened again, and the membrane potential is cancelled by its portion. When this process is repeated, an electric vibration signal can be generated.
