To obtain a new immune function improver which can increase the immune function in living bodies at the simple composition and is useful in the treatment or the prevention for various infectious diseases including AIDS or immunologic lesion by including active chlorine species.
The immune function improver having preferably isotonic salt concentration is obtained by including active chlorine species (e.g. hypochlorous acid) in the range of 1-1,000 ppm, preferably in addition hydrogen gas. This immune function improver can be administrated in the combination with a reducing relaxation agent, e.g. superoxide dismutase or the like. This immune function improver is preferably obtained by electrolyzing a sterilized salt solution containing a salt content of 0.15-1.0 wt.% at sufficient voltage, ampere and time for giving an electrolyte containing a controlled amount of chlorine species under sterilized atmosphere and, when necessary, adjusting the electrolyte with a sterilized hypertonic salt to the isotonic salt concentration, It is favorable that this immune function improver is adjusted in the pH range of 7.2 to 7.6.
