Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve durability of a split-type thermal printing head by raising its manufacturing yield by a method wherein a gap part between inclined end surfaces of respective unit head substrates is filled with thermosetting synthetic resin so that mutual both inclined end surfaces at the gap part are integrally connected with each other by the synthetic resin.
CONSTITUTION: Ceramic made unit head substrates 11-13 wherein line like heating elements of S1 in unit printing width size are formed on upper surfaces, are fixed onto an upper surface of a rod like metallic support member 14 with an adhesive or the like. Then, among upper surfaces of the support member 14, gap 15a-16b parts between inclined end surfaces 11c-13c of respective unit head substrates 11-13 are filled with thermosetting resin 17a-18b, and a gap between 1b and 12b, a gap between 12b and 13b, a gap between 11c and 12c, and a gap between 12c and 13c among respective inclined end surfaces 11b-13e at gap 15a-16b are filled with thermo-setting resin 17a-18b so that they are respectively integrally connected to each other.
