Abstract:
To provide a non-excitation operation type brake which can determine whether or not the brake is locked while suppressing a cost.SOLUTION: A non-excitation operation type brake comprises: a stator (10) having an electromagnet (11); a rotor (20) arranged in the stator, and rotatable with respect to the stator; a brake part (30) arranged at the stator so as to oppose the electromagnet, separated from the rotor, and brought into an adsorption state with respect to the electromagnet when the electromagnet is in a magnetic force generation state, brought into a non-adsorption state with respect to the electromagnet when the electromagnet is in an electromagnetic force non-generation state, contacting with the rotor, and fixing the rotation of the rotor; a voltage supply part (40) for supplying a superimposition voltage in which an AC voltage is superimposed on a voltage for driving the electromagnet to the electromagnet; a measurement part (50) for measuring a current flowing in the electromagnet; and a determination part (60) for determining the adsorption state of the electromagnet to the brake part following the measured current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
