Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a nonflammable sheet having nonflammability and heat-resistance suitable as a substitute for asbestos, producible in high productivity and useful as a wall covering material, a sheet for heat-resistant decorative board, etc., by forming a paper from a slurry containing fibrous magnesium hydroxide as an essential main component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective nonflammable sheet having excellent nonflammability and heat-resistance can be produced by (A) a defibration process to charge fibrous magnesium hydroxide as a main material together with glass fibers as a reinforcing material and wood pulp and synthetic fiber as reinforcing fibers into a defibration machine and defibrate the components, (B) a raw material mixing process to mix the defibrated product with a 1st binder for fixing composed of an anionic thermoplastic resin, a 2nd binder for coagulation and water-resisting purpose composed of a cationic thermosetting resin, a softener and a stabilizer, (C) a collection process to collect the slurry in a paper-material collection reactor, (D) an accumulation process to transfer the collected product to a stock tank and store in the tank to keep homogeneous mixing state, (E) a paper-making process to form a paper sheet with a short net paper machine and (F) a drying process to dehydrate the obtained paper with a press and dry at 120°C.
