NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (Z is H or OH; R is 3W 7C alkyl).
EXAMPLE: 2,2- Dimethyl- 4-[3'-( t-butyldimethylsilyloxy )- 1'- octenyl]- cyclopentanone.
USE: A drug for hypotension. An antihypertensive agent. An inhibitor for secretion of acid in the stomach. An inhibitor for bronchospasm. Useful as a remedy and preventive for thrombosis.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II [Z is H, OP, CH3, CH2OP (P is H or protecting group removable independently of the reside molecule)] is condesned with a copper complex shown by the formula III to give a compound shown by the formula IV. This compound is then condensed with a compound shown by the form V, the protecting group P is removed, and the ester group is hydrolyzed, to give a compound shown by the formula I .
