Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: The compd. of formula I (R1 is 1 to 6C alkyl, 2 to 6C alkenyl, 3 to 7C cycloalkyl, etc.; (m) is 0, 1, 2; B is ≤C satd. alkylene chain; W is 1, 2-, 1, 3- or 1, 4-phenylene; A is 1 to 6C alkyl, 2 to 6C alkenyl, etc.) and its salt, ester and amide.
EXAMPLE: 4-[3-(2-methylphenylsulphenyl)-propane-1-yl]phenyl ethyl ester acetate.
USE: Therapeutic agent for metabolic function disease and hemophoresis disorder. A lipid decreasing agent. An asthma therapeutic agent.
PROCESS: The compd. of the formula I is obtd. by bringing the compd. of formula II (X is a reactive group) into reaction with the mercaptan of formula III or the sulfinic acid of formula IV or its salt.
