Abstract:

To forcibly form a cooling material passage space between a deposited debris and the inside surface of a pressure vessel by assuming a reactor core meltdown accident of a nuclear reactor and thereby to further the cooling of the deposited debris.

This nuclear reactor pressure vessel is so structured that an inside wall 10 is so formed along the inside surface of the bottom of the pressure vessel 2 as to form the cooling material passage space 9 between the inside surface and itself, and molten sediments are deposited on the inside wall 10. The inside wall has a plurality of holes 12.
