To provide a technology for immobilizing a nucleic acid such as a DNA on a carrier in a good efficiency in a nucleic acid chip used for the detection of the nucleic acid and translation of a protein from the nucleic acid.
This nucleic acid-immobilized carrier contains chitosan immobilized on the carrier and the nucleic acid immobilized through the amino group of the chitosan. The nucleic acid is a biotin-labeled nucleic acid, and the nucleic acid-immobilized carrier is provided with that the biotin-labeled nucleic acid is immobilized by the interaction of the biotin with avidin introduced to the amino group of the chitosan. The method for producing the protein is provided by translating the protein from the nucleic acid immobilized on the nucleic acid chip.
