To provide an odor removing device where food material is impregnated with usable components to make the components fix to the food material, and then unnecessary odor imparted to food material as a result of the impregnation with the usable components is removed.
The odor removing device is provided with a processing tank 1 charged with food material 8, a decompression means 2 reducing the pressure inside the processing tank 1, and a usable component supply means 16. The usable component supply means 16 leads out usable components which are attached to the food material 8 or with which the food material 8 is impregnated when recovering the pressure in the decompressed processing tank 1, to the processing tank 1. The usable component supply means 16 imparts the usable components to the food material 8 or impregnates the food material 8 with the usable components, and then the decompression means 2 is controlled to reduce the pressure in the processing tank to a set pressure enough to come off the odor components so as to eliminate the odor components imparted to the food material 8.
