To provide a one-action type foldable umbrella capable of automatically performing opening/closing motions with an interlocking device set in a shank of the umbrella.
The foldaway umbrella has a handle 1. An inner pipe 11 is mounted at one end of the handle 1, and an intermediate pipe 12 and an outer pipe 13 are mounted in this order at a free end of the inner pipe 11. The outer pipe 13 has an finishing cap 14 at the upper end, a runner 15 in an intermediate step, and an inside cap 16 at the lower end. The bottom of the runner 15 and the top of the inside cap 16 are connected with a spring 17, and ribs are mounted in the finishing cap 14, the runner 15 and the inside cap 16 to connect them with one another. A control device 20 is mounted on the handle 1, a restriction device 30 is mounted above the intermediate pipe 12, and a pull device 40 is mounted on the outer pipe 13 below the upper ring 14.
