To provide a one-operation monitor to which a screen can be added only through communication by uniting an image processing circuit with an image display device since when the screen is added to a computer, the computer is required to be disassembled and to be mounted with the image processing circuit and this operation requires a technique and is accompanied by a risk of false operation.

The computer which has the device connected through a communication section (5) recognizes an image processing section (3) and a storage section (4) in the device through communication for peripheral equipment. Information obtained from the storage section (4) is registered in the computer and then the image processing section (3) becomes usable. Then the computer transmits screen information through communication and the image processing section (3) having received the information converts a signal to a format that an image control section (2) accepts as an input. The image control section (2) sends the information on the screen to an image display section (1) and the screen is displayed, so that the one-operation monitor functions as an image display device for the computer. The adjustment of the device is performed by a button group (7).
