Abstract:
To provide a fixing device of an electromagnetic induction heat system, which is free from electrostatic offset, and to provide an image forming apparatus.
The fixing device includes a fixing member 22 that fixes a toner image to a recording medium by the application of heat; a support member 23 that supports part of or the whole fixing member 22; a magnetic flux generating means that generates a magnetic flux, thereby heating at least the fixing member 22 or support member 23; and discharging means 23b1, 32, 28a, 37, and 38 that discharge support member 23.
