Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a stable combustion with the middle and lower sides of flame almost under control, hence minimizing exhaust quantity of NOx by providing a secondary air path for supplying secondary air at a position higher than a flame base part on the periphery of an upper opening to supply the secondary air from a position higher than the flame base part.
SOLUTION: A secondary air path 26 has bends formed at two points in the vertical direction by first and second deflection plates 30 and 32. As a result, the air pressure working on the secondary air path 26 through an inflow port 28 is weakened effectively by the bends. Much air in the secondary air path 26 flows detouring the first deflection plate 30. Even under a strong pressure of air, the secondary air which is supplied to a higher position than the flame base part is kept from increasing extremely. This suppresses the middle- lower parts of the flame to such an extent of somewhat waving side ways thereby enabling continuation of stable combustion.
