Abstract:
To provide an optical connector and a method for manufacturing the optical connector that can reduce the number of components and can prevent an end surface of the optical fiber from being located in the connector even when a temperature change occurs.SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 includes: an optical fiber core wire 21; and a body part 11 with a fiber hole 13 for receiving an insertion of the optical fiber core wire 21, the body part and a body back part 12 forming a ferrule 10. An end part of the optical fiber core wire 21 emits light and the end part has a protruding part protruding from an opening end of the fiber hole 13 in the center axis direction of the fiber hole 13. At least a part outside the protruding part in a radial direction overlaps with the edge of the opening end of the fiber hole 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
