To provide a CLV driving control method by the generation of ideal, high-precision CLV driving command pulses with a small local deviation of the spindle and linear motor of an optical disk master disk exposing device, a VLC disk format which generates no cumulative error accompanying aflthmetic error for every track and enables the generation of nearly ideal, high-precision CLV driving command pulses, and a recording medium with the CLV disk format which has ideal circumferential arrangement and track numbers of access units on a disk.
This optical disk master disk exposing device controls the driving of the spindle motor and a slider in every rotation of the spindle with a spindle rotation command pulse train and a slider movement command pulse train generated by dividing a pulse train of basic clocks whose number is proportional to ideal line length determined by the start radius position of a spiral, the number of tracks, and spiral track pitch.
