In the method for manufacturing the optical film wherein a hard coat layer or the hard coat layer and a functional layer are provided on a transparent plastic film base material having at least one first knurling part in a film winding direction, a second knurling part is laminated on the first knurling part after a process for applying the hard coat layer or the hard coat layer and the functional layer.
