Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which can fix a lead pin with sufficient mechanical strength and makes destruction and deformation of an optical element therein less likely to occur.SOLUTION: An optical module 1 includes: a bottom plate 10; an optical element 20 fixed to the bottom plate 10; a conductive lead pin 30 for supplying electric power to the optical element 20; and a cover body 40 disposed on the bottom plate 10. An opening part 48 which allows the lead pin 30 to extend from a storage space S to the outside is formed at the cover body 40. The optical module 1 includes: a conductive wire 50 electrically connecting the lead pin 30 with the optical element 20; an insulative heat transmission member 80 having lower heat resistance than the wire 50; an insulative cap member 60 covering the opening part 48 of the cover body 40; a fixing resin 64 which fixes the cap member 60 to the cover body 40; and a fixing resin 70 which fixes the lead pin 30 to the cap member 60.
