Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path setting method whereby a wavelength conversion resource is efficiently used to set an optical path with a high success probability.
SOLUTION: A termination node increments the number of nodes performing wavelength conversion among nodes capable of converting wavelength, on the basis of idle wavelength information and wavelength conversion resource information, one by one starting from 0 until the optical path can be set. When successful optical path setting is made for the first time with the number of nodes K, the termination node selects a combination of wavelength conversion nodes maximizing an object function among combinations of nodes capable of converting wavelength in which the number of nodes is K.
