Abstract:

To make an optical recording medium performable good recording and reproduction with a laser with a wave length of 300-900 nm.

This optical recording medium contains a 3,3-disubstituted-2-cyanoacrylic acid derivative in a recording layer. It is possible thereby to perform the recording and the reproduction with a laser with a wave length of 300-900 nm, especially, with a blue purple laser with a wave length of 400-410 nm which is watched with keen interest as a high density optical recording medium.
