Title:
OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60119646
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration in the reflectance of a recording layer and the readout S/N by forming sequentially a background layer and the recording layer formed by curing a compound curable by ultraviolet rays on the surface of a base having tracking pits.

CONSTITUTION: A compound curable by active radiating rays produces, e.g., a radical by the active radiation rays and various compounds having a saturated double bond polymerized or cross-linked are produced. The ultraviolet rays are preferred as the active radiating rays and 200W400nm of wavelength of the ultraviolet rays used in this case is preferred. The cured coating layer is a thickness of around 0.001W20μm in general. The base is made of a resin normally and is discoid and the thickness is normally 2W3μm. A coloring matter is included in the recording layer of the optical recording medium and cyanine pigment offers the best effect. The thickness of the recording layer is preferably 0.03W 10μm.
