Title:
OPTICAL SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07146115
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect presence and size of an object by irradiating parallel light with uniform intensity.

CONSTITUTION: The light emitted from a luminous body 1 is guided with an optical fiber 2 to be radiation light 11 and go in a lens 3. The radiation light introduced in the lens 3 is refracted with the lens 3 to be parallel light 12 and irradiated to a reflection material 13. The parallel light 12 introduced in the reflection material 13 is splitted and reflected by a multitude of total internal reflection surface 14 formed on the surface. The width of the reflection light 15 is made larger than the width of the parallel light 12, which is irradiated to an object.
