Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an optical star coupler which can constitute a star type optical data link system in a narrow space by a simple wiring. CONSTITUTION:Plural couples of fiber end parts which are curved at least a place among an optical mixing part 15, input fiber end parts 12a-12d, and output fiber end parts 14a-14d and extend in the same optional direction (-X) are formed. Respective terminals can be connected by the simple wiring without making the fiber end parts cross one another, and light loss can be suppressed. Further, no optical fiber needs to be curved in the vicinity of an optical star coupler and the optical data link system can be constituted in a narrow space.
