Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound derivative which is a specific optically active monophosphinocarboxylic acid derivative useful as a ligand, etc., for a catalyst for asymmetric reaction such as asymmetric allylating reaction, etc., required for producing medicines, agrochemicals or intermediates therefor.
SOLUTION: This new optically active monophosphinocarboxylic acid derivative of formula I [R1 is a 1-6C alkyl or a (substituted) phenyl; R2 is a 1-4C alkyl; R3 and R4 are each H, a 1-4C alkyl or a (substituted) phenyl]. The compound is useful as a ligand for a catalyst for asymmetric reaction such as asymmetric allylating reaction required for producing medicines, agrochemicals or intermediates therefor. The compound is obtained by reacting a substituted acrylic acid derivative represented by formula II with a phosphine compound represented by the formula HP(R1)2 in the presence of a base, providing a racemic monophosphinocarboxylic acid derivative and then carrying out the optical resolution and, as necessary, the separation of diastereoisomers. Furthermore, the compound is reacted with a palladium compound to afford a metallic complex for the asymmetric reactional catalyst, etc.
