PURPOSE: To increase available current and prevent initial voltage lowering phenomenon during discharge, by adding a predetermined amount of active carbon fiber composed of a material from a phenol series or the like to the positive electrode active substance of an organic electrolyte battery.
CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode back mix 5 is formed into a pellet shape by mixing acetylene black etc. seving as conductive substance, in carbon fluoride etc. acting as active substance adding active carbon fiber composed of a material from a phenol series or the like by the amount of 0.003∼0.06mg pr 1mAh electric capacity of positive electrode and also a adding a binder therein. Then negative electrode active substance 3 composed of lithium sheet or the like and an organic electrolytic solution are combined withe the pellet, and a carbon fluoride organic electrolyte battery or the like is formed. In this formation, impurities represented by peroxide contained in the organic electrolytic solution are adsorbed or resolved by the active carbon, and active state of the negative active substance 3's surface is maintained. Therefore, high available current and long term reliability are secured.
