Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the original plate for a planographic printing plate which is the original plate for the planographic printing plate having a photosensitive layer contg. a photoconductive material and a quinonediazide compd. on a conductive base, is improved in a side etch preventive effect to stably yield the planographic printing plate allowing high-grade printing and having excellent gradation reproducibility and color reproducibility, is improved in electrophotographic characteristics, prevents the staining of the resulted planographic printing plate by printing, is excellent inn both effects of preventing the staining by printing and side etching, is shortened in post- exposing time and is thereby shortened in plate making time.
CONSTITUTION: This original plate for the planographic printing plate is constituted by providing the photosensitive layer contg. the photoconductive material and the ester compd. of o-naphthoquinone diazide sulfonic acid and phenolic resin on the conductive base. The phenolic resin is a polycondensation product of univalent phenols and aldehyde or ketone and the content of the sulfonic acid residue per 1g photosensitive layer is ≥0.4×10-3mol.
