Abstract:
To provide an oxide superconducting wire that reduces interlayer resistance between a superconducting layer and a protective layer.SOLUTION: An oxide superconducting wire 1A comprises a substrate 10, a superconducting layer 12, and a protective layer 13. The protective layer 13 is in contact with the superconducting layer 12. The superconducting layer 12 contains a-axis aligned grains having their a-axes aligned in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the substrate 10. An a-axis aligned grain ratio, expressing the proportion of the a-axis aligned grains to all crystal grains constituting the superconducting layer 12, is in the range of 4.1-11.9%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
