PURPOSE: To eliminate a danger that a facsimile output image or the like gets lost by guiding a recording material on which an image is formed by an image forming means to a prescribed housing part of a recording material housing means according to a supply source of image data formed on the recording material.

CONSTITUTION: In a digital copying device 2 having a sorter, a bin setting part 312 to control a discharge destination of a sorter 200 set through an operation panel 90, is connected to a CPU 302. When a recorded paper sheet is discharged in response to bin setting data to be inputted through the operation panel 90, this bin setting part 312 discriminates a data supply source which supplied image data formed on a corresponding paper sheet, and indicates a quantity to energize a raising-lowering motor 208, that is, a moving distance of a bin unit to control a position of the bin unit of the sorter 200. Therefore, the paper sheet can be sorted and housed according to the data supply source such as a facsimile, a computer or a word processor.
