To provide a pad for hemostasis capable of performing effective hemostasis by surely pressurizing a pierced hole from which an injection needle or a catheter or the like is pulled out after an artery or a vein is pierced and treatment or inspection is performed.
The peripheral edge part 1 and bottom part 2 of a nonwoven fabric piece containing heat adhesive synthetic fibers are thermally fused and hardened, the center part of the bottom part 2 is projected upwards and a projection part 3 and a small projection part 31 are formed. An upper surface 4 on the opposite side of the bottom part 2 is molded into a soft spherical shape. The peripheral edge part 1 is strongly hardened and the hardness of the bottom part 2 is gradually weakened from the peripheral edge part 1 toward the center part. The projection part 3 and the small projection part 31 at the center part of the bottom part 2 are hardened further weakly. When the upper surface 4 of this pad 5 for the hemostasis is abutted to the pierced hole and pressurized, touch to the skin is soft and the hemostasis is surely performed without deformation by the hard peripheral edge part 1 and the bottom part 2.
