To provide a coating composition for precoated steel plate, giving coating film excellent in properties including corrosion resistance and moisture resistance and preferably also excellent in the coating film debonding resistance at sliding parts.
The coating composition comprises an organic resin and antirust pigments. Specifically, the coating composition contains 1.5-14 mass% of a magnesium silicate compound-based antirust pigment and 25-50 mass% of a polyphosphate salt-based antirust pigment, the total content of the total pigment including these antirust pigments in this composition is 65 mass% or less, and the total content of Mg contained as part of the total pigments is 4.0-10 mass%. Preferably, the organic resin comprises a polyester resin having each specific number-average molecular weight and glass transition temperature, an epoxy resin and a curing agent, wherein the molar ratio of the polyester resin to epoxy resin is (1.0/1.0) to (1.0/4.0).
