To provide a panel loading apparatus with which the screen of a panel can be well observed outdoors as well without opening and closing a lid manually or by means of a motor.
One end of a turning spring 31 formed of a sheet made of optically deformed plastic is fixed to a turning shaft 30 of the lid 26 and the other end thereof is fixed to a partition plate 35. The partition plate 35 is provided with a UV LED 37 and a sensor 38 and a G filter 29 is irradiated with external light. When the turning spring 31 is irradiated with green light, the curvilinear deformation of a non-coiled section 31a restores an original flat sheet shape and the lid 26 turns clockwise to open an aperture 24. An end surface 20a of a light transmission plate 20 is irradiated with the external light to illuminae the liquid crystal panel 13. When the luminance of the externa light becomes lower than the prescribed threshold, the turning spring 31 is irradiated with the UV rays of 300 to 400 nm of the UV LED 37 and the non-coiled section 31a is curvilinearly deformed and the lid 26 is turned counterclockwise, and thereby the aperture 24 is closed. A fluorescent lamp 21 is thereafter lighted and the liquid crystal panel 13 is illuminated by a back light 19.
