Title:
PAPER FEEDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3295971
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an air sucking paper feeding device capable of coping with sheets of various types of thicknesses and sizes by a simple mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: Sheets 12 stored in a supply tray 11 are raised by the driving of an elevator motor 13 until the uppermost layer of it is made in contact once with a contact sensor 33. After that, the supply tray 11 is lowered by a specified distance to complete the initial setting. Under this condition, air is sucked by a vacuum motor, and the uppermost layer of sheets 12T is sucked by a conveying belt 19 and conveyed in an arrow 26 direction. According to a time required for this sucking, the elevator motor 13 is driven to adjust a clearance between the contact sensor 33 and the uppermost layer of sheets 12T to a value suitable for sucking.
