The paper processing device 150 is provided with a cutting machine 210 for cutting the continuous paper P wound on an outer peripheral surface 160A of a drum 160 provided on a conveying route of the continuous paper P together with the movement of the continuous paper P in a width direction W and a driving motor 162 controlled by a controller 250 for rotating and moving the cutting machine 210 in a conveying direction E at speed equivalent to the conveying speed of the continuous paper P. If the paper processing device is used, the continuous paper P can be processed without stopping the conveyance of the continuous paper P.
