Title:
PAPER FOR REPRODUCIBLE ORIGINAL FOR BOTH DRY AND WET SYSTEMS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56123548
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the various characteristics of the titled paper by impregnating base paper made chiefly of wood pulp with a specified transparent polymer of relativey low mol. wt., drying the paper, and forming surface protecting layers of a specified thermosetting compound of relatively high mol. wt. having high film forming performance on both sides of the base paper.

CONSTITUTION: Paper for reproducible original for designing and drawing or an electrostatic copier is manufactured as follows: base paper made chiefly of wood pulp is impregnated with polyester polyol having an aromatic ring or methacrylate copolymer of ≥20°C softening point having OH or COOH in the form of a soln. of ≤5,000mol.wt., and the paper is dried. This impregnated paper is then coated with surface protecting layers of thermosetting acrylic resin or the like having a composition consisting of a 12W30wt% ethylenic unsatd. compound having an amino group, a 3W20wt% ethylenic unsatd. compound having COOH and the balance other ethylenic unsatd. compound. At this time, one or more kinds of the monomers are acrylic. The resulting paper has high toner adhesion, is well developed by both dry and wet systems, and is fit for erasing with a liq. corrector with good transparency. In addition, it has superior carriability, smoothness, heat resistance, etc.
