Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a uniform flow to each of tubes and improve a heat exchanging efficiency by a method wherein either a connecting end or a part near its connecting end of a flowing part of the tube communicated and connected with a liquid refrigerant flowing part of a header is proviced with a refrigerant flowing restriction means.

CONSTITUTION: A connecting end of each of tubes 1 with a lower header 4 is formed with a partial throttle part 11 partially crushing it in a lateral direction and then an area of a refrigerant passage 12 within the tube 1 is reduced. Then, the throttle part may act as a flowing restriction part for liquid refrigerant when the heat exchanger acts as an evaporator. With such an arrangement as above, even if refrigerant flowed into the liquid refrigerant flowing-in part 10 is apt to flow into the specified tube 1, it is restricted at the refrigerant flowing in restriction means, i.e., the throttle part 11, resulting in that the flowing-in of the refrigerant is restricted and the refrigerant is filled in the liquid refrigerant flowing-in part 10. As a result, it is possible to distribute the refrigerant uniformly to each of the tubes 1 connected to the liquid refrigerant flowing-in part 10.
